Thanks from all the LAM crew for helping us to make that a special birthday LAM, after 12 long but fun months we were all amazed to see such a great response from both regulars and new faces. Although we are still working on the final total it is now confirmed that over £2000 was raised for the Spanner Trust. Derek Cohen of the Spanner Trust has asked us to pass on special thanks for this phenomenal achievement and was touched by everyone's generosity.
For providing raffle prizes and auction items special thanks goes to:
The Great Voltini again provided an amazing stage show with the help of the electrifying (ed: should that not be electrified
?) Nurse Electra. we're sure it goes without saying that this is one act you don't want to try at home. Next month the stage show will be the Great Hoodunit who will be entertaining us with a fusion of SM and magic something the crew are all looking forward to watching.
Chopper again illustrated his skills in using and making canes in his workshop; a fantastic illustration of how varied a tool the cane can be. His demo bunny is reportedly very grateful that he shorted his mark to just Chop
... Next month's workshop will be announced as soon as it is confirmed; if you have any suggestions on what you would like to see please let us know.
More special thanks go to LeatherMGoddess and LeatherEagle from the Leather Family who, along with DogTrainer (from MenInRope.com) and Foxxx delivered a most entertaining rouging of MC's defenceless bare bottom. Don't worry – he assures us he is not switching and after the warming was seen gingerly walking off in the direction of backstage in search of ice mumbling something about if when there is a next time the (fund-raising) target will have to be much higher...
As well as raising such a fantastic amount everyone managed to have a great time and relax in the splendid grandeur that is the Clapham Grand. The Love police were again out in force and MsGoth managed to make a few potential matches during the day. Don't forget; if you see the Love police around and want to find out a little more about someone who has caught your eye, the arm-band indicates that they are on duty
and willing to take a few minutes to make an introduction. If you are interested in joining forces with the Love police let us know – we hope that other events will soon allow us to match-make on a regular basis.
We have been busy spending a little more of the LAM fund to help support more community projects but are always keen to hear of others in need of financial support for community causes. To date, the LAM has raised over £7500 with £460 currently available in the LAM fund. We hope that the projects we are supporting will soon be able to let you how we are helping but will leave that up to them.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the next event on Sunday 1st April. Have a fantastic month and thanks again from the LAM Crew and the Spanner Trust.
Regards,
