Newsletter - 11th February 2007

Dear subscribers,

Thanks again to all those who joined us for another great LAM last weekend in the run up to our first birthday in March.

The workshop (an A-Z review of fetish clubbing with Master Cosmic) gave everyone a good indication of the depth and breath of the London clubbing scene.

The Switch Theatre and Ruby Rouge dazzled us with a new burlesque stage set when pan gets past security — it's just a shame that the office was never that much fun for most of us.

We announced the launch of the LAM Love Police; anyone seen out and about wearing an arm band has agreed to spare a few minutes if asked nicely to check on the status of any potential partner who has caught your eye and you are not sure about approaching. No sooner had the idea beenn launched than several members of the crew were asked about potential mates and a few of the introduced couples were seen wandering off together at the end of the event. Its one of the things about the LAM that we have always been happy to hear from people that they find the chance to meet people and socialise in a very relaxed atmosphere has produced a steady stream of new relationships.

Since the launch in March 2006 we have raised over £5500 for community causes. This month the money was put into the LAM Fund, which now has over £860 in the pot. This money is available to anyone who needs it to support a BDSM cause or community project. If you could do with some help then all you have to do is apply (via fund@londonalternativemarket.com) and we will let you know if we can help!

Next month's supported cause will be the Spanner Trust who continue to work hard supporting people who fall fowl of the law through their SM activities. Our stall holders have dug deep to provide some amazing raffle prizes for the Trust:

  • Black faux suede/satin lined cloak with hood from Strictly Sensuous – value £85
  • E-Box Series 1 kit or goods to the value of from E-stim systems £79
  • Dress made to measure by Libby Rose to a value of £55
  • Unique bondage restraint belt from Leather Delights
  • LAM shopping spree vouchers value £50

Tickets we be on sale at various events throughout the month by members of the LAM crew and supporters of the Trust for £1 each with all proceeds going directly to the Trust.

We have also been offered two special items for auction which will occur just after the stage demonstration at 2pm which are:

  • A set of canes donated by Chopper of SpankingTools.com.
  • One of Master Cosmic's restored violet wands, a rare item indeed to go on sale.

Next month we have a fantastic stage demo for you, back by popular request will be The Great Voltini and Nurse Electra with their truly electrifying high voltage show. The workshop is also back by popular request as Chopper from SpankingTools.com will be talking about canes. We are hoping to have an extra mini demo on rope bondage but will announce details closer to the event via the pre-March mailer.

We look forward to welcoming you back to help celebrate our birthday on 4th March and will update you on all the latest news and special features in the pre-event mailer. In the meantime, have a great month!

Regards,
