What a great start to 2007! The LAM last weekend was great fun, lots of people spending Christmas money, as well as socialising and learning new ideas from both the workshop and the demo!
The workshop on exploring sensory play with Strictly Normal & Severin as demo bunny was fantastic and for many showed how they could use sensations and sensory deprivation to heighten and transform a play experience.
For the demo, a wooden cross courtesy of Very Alternative Furniture provided the sturdy base for Master Touch to show us how to be sadistic without leaving marks using the art of Tickle Torture. LaPixie was the lovely lady being tortured by Master Touch with assistance from MsGoth and anamdiamond.
Since the launch in March 2006 we have raised over £5200 for community causes. This month the money was put into the LAM Fund, which now has over £700 in the pot. This money is available to anyone who needs it to support a BDSM cause or community project. If you could do with some help then all you have to do is apply (via fund@londonalternativemarket.com) and we will let you know if we can help!
As many of you know the government are trying to criminalise the possession of extreme pornography. If you don't agree with this then please go to http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Violent-Porn/ and sign the petition. If you haven't heard about this before then visit the backlash website for more information.
Next month we have a fantastic stage demo for you,
Switch Theatre
and Ruby Rouge present
Pandemonium in the Office
. Have you ever wished office life were a bit more interesting?
Come and find out what happens when Pan gets past security. A brand-new burlesque performance
by Switch Theatre and
Ruby Rouge.
The workshop is still being arranged but as usual it shall be fun and show how to add another dimension to play!
That's all from us until 4th February, have a great month!
Regards,
