Well, the ninth LAM is over and the planning is well underway for next month, with a few special things lined up as it's Christmas time! The 3rd of December is the date to put in your diaries and as usual its going to one you really shouldn't miss!
To everyone who came along last Sunday goes a big thank you — the day was fantastic and the return of the After-Market Party was a great end to a fantastic day.
The workshop on wax play with Maria Hades gave many people inspiration to try things out at home and showed how to make things hot in just the right places.
The demo showcased the first LAM Fashion show, and was a great opportunity to see what clothing and accessories are out there for people to dress up with. On show were items from a number of our stalls on some gorgeous models — the main talking point appeared to be what great options were out there for men as well as women if you looked!
Since the launch of LAM in March 2006 we have raised over £4700 for community causes. This month was no exception as we helped raise over £600 for Backlash a cause most of you would be familiar with — if you haven't heard about their valuable work then please visit Backlash's website and see if there's anything you can do to help.
Fundraising is evolving at the LAM and as well as providing space and opportunities for community groups to raise awareness and gain much needed support we are also launching the LAM Trust to help groups and organisations with projects where funds are needed. More details are available from the LAM community desk every month.
Next month things are looking like they should be fun. The workshop (held at 12.30) on the upstairs gallery is currently down to a shortlist of two; we will let you know what it will be as soon as we know! We do have a fantastic demo planned and we are welcoming back Alex Jacob to do a Christmas-inspired bullwhip show.
We look forward to seeing you next month on Sunday December 3rd.
Regards,
