Well, the eighth LAM is over and we're busily planning next month's — the date for your diary is Sunday November 5th. Big thanks to all who came along last Sunday, we hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did!
The workshop on incorporating health checks into scenes
by Dr Shock and Nurse
Mel went incredibly well, and it was nice to be shown how something so
important – that can become so mundane – can be spiced up with a little imagination,
having fun with your partner at the same time.
The demo was a slightly different affair than normal: the LAM crew used the time to remind people that areas of SM (if you leave marks that are more than transient or trifling) are still illegal, as well as letting everyone know what to do if the police do come knocking on your door.
Since the launch of LAM in March 2006 the LAM has raised over £4000 for community causes as well as providing space and opportunities for community groups to raise awareness and gain much needed support. At the LAM last Sunday the new plans for LAM fund-raising were announced. Feedback has been very positive and we are looking forward to being able to support more people in the future. More details will be avalaible in the pre-November newsletter or at the November LAM.
Next month things are looking like they should be fun. The workshop (held at 12.30) on the upstairs gallery is going to be on what delights you can have with wax play. There will, however, be no demo — instead, we'll have a fashion show! It's planned for 2pm on the main stage, and will really be a dress to impress and see what's out there at the LAM and beyond in terms of clothing and items to make an outfit special or eye catching. If you want to take part then email [email protected] .
We look forward to seeing you next month on November 5th — the supported community cause will be Backlash who will be raising money on the day with a raffle as well as letting you all know what they are up to at the moment.
Regards,
