The eighth LAM is only a matter of days away now and once again it's looking busy! Lots of stalls selling some wonderful products and the great mix of people attending who make the day so colourful and diverse!
This month we have the wonderful Demi Mode bringing a range of men's and ladies' fetish and vintage clothing; also, ask her about made-to-measure items as she is a really talented seamstress! That's in addition to our regular stalls present at the LAM every month!
Remember if there is something you don't see around, ask the stall holders; many design and make their own products and are always happy to talk about custom modifications, you never know if you don't ask!
As ever, the day is packed with things to do and see:
incorporating health checks into scenes. So how to make those lumps and bumps checks a more fun experience and keep you safe, presented by Dr Shock and Nurse Mel. The workshop is going to be discussion-based so everyone is invited to contribute useful information. As usual, entry to this is included in the LAM entrance and handouts will be available for everyone attending.
what to do if the police come knocking. It will focus on a
Bust Cardproduced by the Spanner Trust (http://www.spannertrust.org/documents/bustcard.asp) and will be presented by members of the LAM crew.
Next month at 2pm instead of a demo we shall be having a dress to impress fashion show. Details will be available at the community desk if you want to take part, outfits and discussions with stall-holders will have to be arranged this Sunday!
After the LAM the fun doesn't stop – unfortunately the LAM Aftermarket party still hasn't found a new home, we are still working to bring you something for Sunday night — if we succeed details will be available on the community desk; if not, then once again we suggest everyone pop up the road to Project Orange for a drink. Last month there was a great atmosphere in there and it proved a lovely end to a fantastic day!
Since the launch 7 months ago the LAM has raised over £3800 for community causes as well as providing the opportunity for community groups to talk to people directly. This is only achievable with everyone turning up on the day and our wonderful stall-holders being so generous with their raffle prizes!
We look forward to seeing you this coming Sunday 1st October 2006 and again the month after (Sunday 5th November), when the supported cause will be Backlash. Look out for news of their great raffle prizes shortly!
Regards,
