London Alternative Market

Newsletter - 7th July 2006

Dear subscribers,

Big thanks to all those that came to the fifth LAM last Sunday. It was a hot day outside but the atmosphere was most defiantly relaxed and chilled inside. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we all did.

The workshop on Electroplay by Master Cosmic of the LAM crew was well received (even though we should admit to a certain amount of bias...). The general consensus was that after the safety foundation people wanted to see a more in-depth workshop on Violet Wands next which we will try to arrange for September.

The demo by The London School of Striptease was stunning, and although we had to fill in with a little non-consensual pole dancing between sets, Jenis will hopefully have forgiven us by the next event. The view from the stage certainly showed a number of wide eyed people as Verona climbed to the top of the pole and danced back down!

The Event Gallery is now live on our website and we will get the pictures of the demo and workshop online as soon as they are available.

The total donation for Unfettered — our July community cause — was £491.50, bringing the total to date to £2608.95 after only 5 events.

The LAM After-Market Party offered a great chance to unwind at the end of the day, particularly as the beer garden was open and there were a few well-placed items of furniture in the garden allowing people to take advantage of the fact that the venue is not overlooked... Many recalled fond memories of the Al Fresco party last summer.

We look forward to seeing you next month on Sunday 6th August 2006. The supported community cause will be the Spanner Trust, who will be announcing raffle prizes soon.

Next month's workshop is Rope Bondage by Music Lover of M_L accessories — the workshop will be at 12:30pm on the lower levels of the gallery so that everyone can get a good view and we will have hopefully sorted out a PA system to make sure that everyone can hear.

Next month's demo will be another first – the people involved have asked for no details to be released in order to maintain the impact of what they want to do. The few people who know the details have all requested a ring side seats...

We look forward to welcoming you back next month — bring a friend or two!

Regards,
