Big thanks to all those that came to the third LAM. It was an exhausting day for the crew involved in a very active weekend with so many events to attend and so much new stuff for the LAM itself. We hope you enjoyed it as much as the crew did.
The workshop on Caning, provided by Chopper of SpankingTools was well received and workshops are a feature we will continue to develop.
The demo by Kat and the Leather Family was stunning, with a nice twist of suspense and drama. Look out for the pictures which will be posted on the website soon!
We are working on development of an Event Gallery for the website so that you can catch up on the demo pictures. Thanks are due to our newly appointed house photographer Mark Varley who, with Jan, took some great shots of the Leather Family in action and the SpankingTools Workshop on Caning.
The total donation for May's supported community cause, Feminists Against Censorship, was £626. Massive thanks to all our stall-holders for graciously donating raffle prizes, particularly FairyGothMother, Richard Larsen & Precious. Other prizes were some of MC's cash and additional prizes courtesy of Jungle Black Widow and MonkeySpanker.
Since the launch in March 2006 the LAM has raised over £1800 for community projects as well as providing a regular forum for community groups to talk to people at the market directly. The LAM crew consider these activities to be vital to the growth of alternative lifestyles and are always keen to help projects wherever possible.
The very first LAM After-Market Party was well attended and seems to have got off to a spanking good start, a few teething problems as they say, but we are sure they will be all ironed out for next month. We shall, of course, be listening to your feedback avidly!
We look forward to seeing you next month on Sunday 4th June 2006. The supported community cause for June is Outsiders; they will be announcing raffle prizes soon.
We are busy re-organising the layout to make space available for some new stalls so we can increase the range of items on offer and make room for those who are not able to come to every market. We are always keen to hear from new stall holders and are always happy to listen to any suggestions you have about this or any other aspect of the LAM.
Next months workshop is on Flogging and Floggers by Cat from Freak Clubwear. Full details will be released just before the event. The workshop will now be at 12:30pm on the lower levels of the gallery so that everyone can get a good view.
Next month's demo will be a real spectacular, a treat for all fans of things electric. The LAM crew are delighted to announce that The Great Voltini will be performing his famous electrocution show on stage at 2:00pm. We recommend grabbing a sneak preview from his web site...
Regards,
